Tuckers Clay: CCS Brown Speckled 44 lb box for Mid-Range Cone 5/6

This is a very responsive stoneware clay that builds extremely well. It contains 8% 35-mesh grog for even drying and warp resistance, but still throws and trims easily. This clay body fires to a warm tan with dark specks produced by the inclusion of a small amount of granular manganese. Glazes interact with this attractive, speckled surface giving beautiful “reduction-like” effects.
