This is a wheel thrown lantern made from a speckled cream stoneware and glazed in iridescent rainbow. Flowers were hand carved and galvanized wire was attached for ease of transport. This lantern can be used with an LED light or a real candle.

This mug was fired to a bisque (first firing) temperature of approximately 1960*F. After glazing, was fired again to 2160*F to create stoneware. A third firing of around 1,000*F occurred after applying the liquid luster top coating for adherence.
