This is a wheel-thrown Iridescent mug made out of a dark brown-black stoneware and glazed in iridescent Grape with the phrase “Absolutely the Fuck Not” stamped into the clay in inlaid with white underglaze.
Please note that this is a 100% handmade item from start to finish. Slight imperfections are normal and should be expected.
This mug was fired to a bisque (first firing) temperature of approximately 1960*F. After glazing, was fired again to 2160*F in an oxidation atmosphere to create stoneware. A third firing of around 1,000*F occurred after applying the liquid luster top coating for adherence.
