Handbuilt Holiday Pie Plates
Bring something handmade to the table this year! In this hands-on workshop you’ll make your own ceramic pie plate, ready for pumpkin, pecan, apple, or whatever pie your family can’t do without.
This is a no experience needed workshop. We’ll show you how to roll out an even slab of clay, shape it over a form, and finish the rim the way you like it: crimped like a pie crust, scalloped, or clean and simple. Then you can make it your own with stamps, stencils, carved patterns, autumn leaves pressed into the clay, or your family name. Pick from our food-safe glazes and we’ll fire everything in our kiln. Your finished plate can go in the oven, so it’s ready for many Thanksgivings to come.
What’s included:
- All clay, tools, and materials
- Step-by-step instruction for every skill level
- Glazing and firing of your finished piece
- One 8–10" pie plate per person (bring a friend and make a matching set!)
Good to know:
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little muddy
- Pieces need time to dry, glaze, and fire, so they’ll be ready for pickup about 3 weeks after class.
- Great for a night out with friends, a family activity or a date night! Children are welcome to participate but must be supervised by an adult at all times.
Spots are limited, so reserve your seat today!
