This is a wheel-thrown mug made out of a golden stoneware and glazed in a floating/reactive pearly orange. The ghosts were hand painted with underglaze then fired to cone 5. A single ghost has a drop of glaze under its eye which looks like a tear drop. A cute little accident!
Please note that this is a 100% handmade item from start to finish. Slight imperfections are normal and should be expected.
This mug was fired to a bisque (first firing) temperature of approximately 1960*F. After glazing, was fired again to 2160*F in an oxidation atmosphere to create stoneware.
