This is a wheel thrown mug made out of a dark brown-black stoneware and glazed in a beautiful floating dark blue. The phrase “Absolutely the Fuck Not” was stamped into the mug and inlaid with white underglaze and 22k gold butterflies were added over top the glaze.
This mug was fired to a bisque (first firing) temperature of approximately 1960*F. After glazing, was fired again to 2160*F to create stoneware. A third lower temperature firing then occurred to permanently adhere the decals to the mug
