This is a wheel-thrown pumpkin shaped mug made out of a heavily speckled light brown stoneware and glazed in beautiful combination of “toasted” Greens and brown/neutral colors. 22k gold was lined where the pumpkin’s ridges are which contrasts beautifully with the glaze.
Please note that this is a 100% handmade item from start to finish. Slight imperfections are normal and should be expected.
This mug was fired to a bisque (first firing) temperature of approximately 1960*F. After glazing, was fired again to 2160*F in an oxidation atmosphere to create stoneware.
