First Frost Large Counter Top Serving Bowl

This is a 12 cup wheel thrown serving bowl that was thrown on the potters wheel using a light brown speckled stoneware. The outside of the bowl was glazed in “Mulberry” and the inside contrasts with a darker floating burgundy. Droplets of another reactive glaze were placed along the the rim and they pooled beautifully into the bottom creating an icy blue. 

This bowl was fired to a bisque temperature of approximately 1960*F glazed and fired again to 2160*F to create stoneware. 

This bowl is food, dishwasher and microwave safe.
