This is a wheel thrown mug made out of a speckled cream stoneware and glazed in a beautiful gloss pink with a pretty white over top.
The mug is adorned with decals of flowers and that were fired to a low temperature to make them permanently adhere to the mug. Hand wash for longevity!
This mug was fired to a bisque (first firing) temperature of approximately 1960*F. After glazing, was fired again to 2160*F to create stoneware. A third lower temperature firing then occurred to permanently adhere the decals to the mug.
