This is a wheel thrown mug made out of an off-white stoneware and glazed in a semi-transparent gloss crimson which pools nicely midway down the mug creating a thicker glaze line which has slight floating purple accents.
This mug was fired to a bisque (first firing) temperature of approximately 1960*F and glaze fired to cone 5 in an oxidation atmosphere (approximately 2160°F–2185°F.)
