This is a wheel thrown mug made out of a speckled cream stoneware and glazed in a beautiful gloss white and pink combination. You can see the pink clearly along the glaze line while most of the mug looks white.
The mug is adorned with decals of flowers and that were fired to a low temperature to make them permanently adhere to the mug. Hand wash for longevity!
This mug was fired to a bisque (first firing) temperature of approximately 1960*F. After glazing, was fired again to 2160*F to create stoneware. A third lower temperature firing then occurred to permanently adhere the decals to the mug
